Well it has literally been forever since my last blog so I thought I would share with all of you how my lover and I rang in the new year. We were up bright and early with lots of supplies and wondering what we were going to do on the first day of 2011 so we looked around the house and there was one room that just never had any attention and was packed to the ceiling with clothes and laundry. On a good day you might be able to get to the washer without stepping on something. Side note: I hate laundry.
Because of this my sewing machine has been to hard to access so I just couldn't be bothered. I had a quilt I was making as a Christmas gift, and due to the tight area in there it never got finished.
Our new years resoultion is to get rid of the clutter in our house... or at least get it under control. I don't know how in 4 years two people accumualte so much stuff, but we did!
We got a smokin' deal on the flooring! It is the same stuff that was used in the entry way. I went to home depot and was browsing around for nothing impaticular, and then I came across the flooring section. The boxes of flooring were 66% off!!!! I loaded my cart with every box they had because we had been wanting to redo my love's drum room. When I got it all home I knew it would be perfect for my laundry room! Instead of ruining his excitment I called another Home Depot in the city and asked if they would match what I got it from the other store for. After some pursuation they agreed!
I also had found a nice green paint at home depot which is the paint and primer in one (45.00/gal) paint that was a mistint on for ONLY $9.00!!!
I am happy to say that trim paint and floorring this face life on my laundry room was under $100.00!!!!
Hope you enjoy the pictures :)
